Stefano Bollani Trio
Pianist and composer Stefano Bollani is the most popular Italian jazz musician of today, as well as one of the few European performers accepted in the US. Bolliani, Enrico Rava’s proxy who still performs with him today, has created from the late nineties a stunning solo career. He is the winner of the European Jazz Award for the Best European Jazz Player in 2007. He performs in various formats, from solo recitals, trios and quintets to collaborations with large orchestras. In the Stefano Bollani Trio, he plays with prominent Danish artists (Jesper Bodilsen on double bass and Morten Lund on drums) presenting music of a ballad and ambient character. The current album “Stone in the Water” was published by the leading European jazz label ECM.
